In another move to grow South Australia’s exports and create jobs, the Marshall Liberal Government will resume sponsoring the major annual event G’Day USA.
“The State Liberal Government has a clear plan to drive an export-led transformation of the South Australian economy, with a focus on improving our trade relationships and supporting our exporters,” said Premier Marshall.
“Sponsoring G’Day USA will showcase our state and exporters to thousands of United States’ businesses and investors.
“The United States is South Australia’s second largest export market with over 400 local businesses already exporting their products and services into the US and we want to further strengthen this important trade relationship.
“At the same time, more than 180 companies from the United States have a presence in South Australia".
One of the Marshall Liberal Government’s key election commitments is to establish more trade offices worldwide to create jobs by boosting South Australia’s international trade.
“Part of the Liberal Government’s export plan is to open new South Australian trade offices across the globe, including in the United States, because we know that this will assist our exporters to expand whilst also assisting new players to make their mark".
Premier Marshall will take part in roundtable discussions with company CEOs, high-ranking Government officials and policy experts in Los Angeles, to attract even more interest and investment in South Australia.
South Australia will also be on show in the Australia Tourism Industry event, which will drive the growth of our already booming tourism industry.
The event will also present the opportunity for South Australia to be the presenting partner at the Film Showcase event, which will promote Film SA and be themed around “A Taste of South Australia”.
South Australian partners and sponsors include: Penfolds, Thomas Foods International, Davroe, Bird in Hand and Flinders University New Venture Institute
