SA in the slow lane on population growth

Today’s Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data on population growth shows South Australia’s rate is falling whilst the rest of the country continues to grow strongly.

South Australia’s population grew by just 0.6 per cent in the 12 months ending March 2017, down from 0.7 per cent in the preceding 12 months, whilst the rest of the nation’s population grew at 1.6 per cent.

Saving Modbury Hospital

The State Liberals have committed $20 million to the restoration of critical services and surgical capacity at the Modbury Hospital as a first step to undoing the damage inflicted on the hospital by Labor’s budget cuts.

“I am determined that Modbury Hospital is properly supported to be the primary hospital for the local community,” said State Liberal Leader Steven Marshall.
