Reinstating funding for South Australian Community Hospitals
Dec 15, 2011
Under Labor billions of taxpayers’ dollars have been wasted on wrong priorities, pet projects, broken promises and the blatant mismanagement of costs on major projects like the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Port Stanvac Desalination Plant.
In the 2010-11 state budget the State Labor Government stripped $1.174 million per year from regional community hospitals in Moonta, Ardrossan, Keith and Glenelg. These hospitals provide critical services to their local communities and have been abandoned by the State Labor Government.
A Liberal Government will review the viability of all community hospitals and reinstate $1.174 million of annual community hospital funding.
