John Gardner

State Member for Morialta
Electorate Office Contact Details:
163 St Bernards Road
Rostrevor SA 5073
John Gardner lives in Rostrevor, in the heart of Morialta - the area he grew up in. John and his wife Chelsey are actively engaged in the local community, being members, sponsors and supporters of a large range of local service, sporting and other community groups.
John worked in his family's small water treatment business while studying at the University of Adelaide. Since graduating, he has also worked in policy areas of health (particularly illicit drug prevention and rehabilitation), and education.
John was elected as Member for Morialta in March 2010 and currently serves as Opposition Whip. He has worked hard to advocate for his local community in his time in the Parliament. John successfully fought for the restoration of funding for the Norwood-Morialta High School – which initially saw its funding cut by over half a million dollars per year in the 2010 Budget; he successfully fought for Government funding to provide a fire siren at Athelstone; and he regularly champions local causes to ensure that issues important to the Morialta community are heard in the Parliament.
