Bad start to the year for South Australian businesses
NAB’s monthly business survey reported that business conditions in South Australia deteriorated sharply in January 2012, the weakest performance in Australia.
This report follows last week’s Business SA ‘Survey of Business Expectations’ which showed that business conditions in South Australia are the worst in a decade.
“Ten years of a State Labor Government and South Australian business conditions are at their lowest,” Shadow Treasurer Iain Evans said.
“South Australian businesses are feeling the impact of this high-taxing, high-spending Labor Government that has failed to deliver positive economic outcomes for the State.
“After ten years of Labor, Treasurer Snelling needs to explain to South Australian businesses why this Labor Government has failed to provide a competitive tax regime in which businesses can operate and expand,” Mr Evans said.
